I’m Yolanda McAdam. I’m a marketing strategist and coach and the CEO of this company and YSocial Marketing.

 

Here’s my story

I currently live in Edmonton, Alberta!

I’m originally from South Africa but came to Canada in 2009.

I live on a healthy diet of coffee, wine, and dark chocolate and love spontaneous road trips.

I started out in finance and investment banking and have varied work experience. I have worked as a business administrator, marketing manager, and corporate trainer.

In 2003 I was laid off and while at the time it felt like the earth had opened up and swallowed me whole, it was the blessing-in-disguise kind of push I needed to follow my dream of entrepreneurship.

My first business was a safari company. It was fun until it wasn’t and you can read about my experience working with wealthy tourists and other wild animals here.

My second business was a coaching business that allowed me to live my values of freedom and service.

After moving to Canada, I decided to focus on my passion and aptitude for marketing and started out as a social media manager for a wealth management company.

I have since gone on to work with startups, small businesses as well as billion-dollar organizations in the following sectors:

✔️BUSINESS COACHES AND TRAINERS

 

Today I work mostly with clients who require in-house social media training, social media management and strategic guidance.
